Futures 2024
Now in its 6th year, our Futures initiative continues to support the next generation of creatives. We help fresh and proven talent overcome barriers to entry, develop their skills and thrive within the industry.
One of our core values has always been to support emerging talent. Futures is one of the most exciting parts of our business and is fuelled by our collective desire to make the creative industries more accessible and representative because we believe that promising talent comes from any background regardless of experience.
Our trusted agents and producers regularly work alongside our Futures talent to guide their output and develop their skills, helping them find a route to a commercial career or the right space within the industry for their own practice.
Over the years Futures has continued to grow, supporting the careers of the very best visual artists out there. These artists have gone on to win both high-calibre commercial commissions and industry accolades alike.
Currently, we have five incredibly talented creators on our roster whose skills span illustration, typography and motion.

INÈS PAGNIEZ
Inès is an illustrator and animation director who uses plasticine to depict characterful and often humorous scenarios. Since joining the roster, she’s been balancing work with having two children and has found creativity in self-initiated projects as well as commissions from The New Yorker and The Washington Post.
Mums Life™ is a self-initiated project that Inès started as a way to explore the unexpected and universal realities of becoming a parent. After a welcomed reception from press and peers, the project went on to receive a shortlist at the World Illustration Awards.
The New Yorker illustration accompanied a piece about the history of slouching and how humans became obsessed with standing perfectly upright.
TV Night is an exploration of pets and how they 'spread the love'. Inspired by moments of daily life, Inès always aims to capture these vignettes through a comedic lens and tactile clay modelling.

WEI WU
Wei is an illustrator who uses metaphors and symbols to explore topics including love, friendship and nature. Through colourful, playful design, she tells stories of relationships, society, and the experience of being a woman in today’s world.
EcoKarmaSutra is a book created to encourage more young people to connect with nature on every level. Born from the concept of ecosexuality, the EcoKarmaSutra is a sex-positive and colourful exploration of nature which aims to showcase how everyday interactions with the natural world become moments of deep connection. Using her dream-like romantic illustration style, Wei crafted ten original illustrations for the book each depicting a different sensuous interaction with nature from feeling sun rays on your skin to caressing foliage, you're only limited by how much you're willing to experience.
New Faces is a collaborative project with It’s Nice That. Wei was one of 18 of London’s “most promising illustrators and artists” commissioned to create portraits of the Wieden+Kennedy London team.

HANNAH GILLINGHAM
Hannah is an illustrator and artist with a painterly, figurative style. While she often paints by hand, she also enjoys recreating traditional painting techniques digitally.
Amazon Music commissioned Hannah to design a mural for their Breakthrough Artist series in New York. Using her trademark digital painting technique, Hannah crafted an ethereal and celestial depiction of soul artist Ayra Starr.
Spotify podcast ‘Gay Pride and Prejudice’ is a modern adaptation of the Jane Austen classic. Adorning billboards in New York and LA, the digitally crafted cover artwork carefully married the historical literature with the modern characters, creating portraits that reference the two time periods.
